In recognition of Women’s History Month, the 9/11 Tribute Museum and Women’s City Club of New York are pleased to re-present Women Rebuilding the World Trade Center. Women have participated in the rebuilding of the World Trade Center in numerous ways, from welding steel at the base of Calatrava’s Transportation Hub, to helping engineer sustainable infrastructure for the commercial office towers, from advocating for the community members’ needs during major construction, to providing a center where 9/11 families and survivors can share their stories with the thousands of visitors drawn to the area. The World Trade Center is a live work community surrounding a profound memorial with women continuing to play key roles in its revitalization.
