William Kentridge
DESCRIPTION
William Kentridge is one of the world's most renowned contemporary artists. He became internationally known at the end of the 1980s for his animated short films, in which Kentridge deals critically, but also very poetically, with South Africa's past and present.

These films, which are based on large-format charcoal drawings, form the starting point for an extensive oeuvre that encompasses drawing, printmaking, sculpture and tapestry as well as opera productions and multimedia stage plays. In his interwoven

exhibition with numerous media installations, films and projections, we do not offer an additional, auditory level of mediation. For your orientation, we provide you here with the exhibition plan with the individual chapters and the wall texts for the individual tour.
